Danmuji is pickled daikon radish that is a key ingredient in making Kimbap - Korean rice rolls. They also commonly accompany Korean-Chinese dishes like Jajangmyun (black bean noodles).
You can buy them pre-cut into thin slices for making kimbap or buy them whole (as pictured below).
Whole radishes can be sliced into thin rings, then each rich sliced into half moons to serve along side Korean-Chinese dishes. Or they can be sliced into thin strips for kimbap.
They come in either yellow or regular colors. The white one simply has no yellow food coloring but they both taste the same.
Find them in the refrigerated section of Korean or Japanese grocery stores. Always more affordable in Korean groceries.
