English Name: Plain Instant Noodles Korean Name: 라면사리 Romanized: Ramyeon Sari Other Names: Instant Noodle without Flavor Packet Storage: Keep in cool, dark area. Classified Under: Noodles and Rice Cakes Wikipedia Entry Plain instant noodles (without flavor packets) are commonly added to Korean soup and stew dishes. Usually, they are added to the dish after the main ingredients have been eaten and only the broth is left. It gives people a way to utilize the leftover soup instead of throwing it away. Though the noodles are vegan (as they are free of animal products), they are unfortunately fried in palm oil. I do buy these sparingly as there is no good alternative but if you don't buy any products with palm oil, I suggest replacing it with other types of noodles like udon. Find them at Korean grocery stores next to all the other ramyeon instant noodles.
